How it all Started
Boost Your Language was founded by Stijn Veentjer and Daniël Bakker, who were both teaching Dutch online while traveling the world. They joined forces to create a platform that helps people develop their Dutch and speak it with confidence. Daniël created the lesson program, and Stijn built the website and the early marketing. Today Daniël leads Boost Your Language and continues to build on that foundation.
By traveling and learning languages ourselves, from Brazil to India, across South America, Europe, and Asia, we discovered that speaking and active use of a language is the best way to learn. So we built a professional method around the European Framework of Reference that includes lots of speaking time. We know how much speaking the language can help to get a better connection with a new culture and its people. We love to help people feel more comfortable and at home in the Netherlands.
Today Daniël runs Boost Your Language, and we are pleased that we can share our method with others. We are blessed to work with students from different cultures, from every background. Children to adults, out of more than 20 countries. Fully online and accessible from anywhere in the world.
